Hi Dick,

It is hard to answer your question without more information. It sounds doable the main thing is to keep the wood away from ground!

Yours,
Rusty

Really enjoyed your article on masonry walls...you're a knowledgeable mason and a good writer!

I'm building a daylight basement...3 sides daylight, only one backfilled. Planning on 12" block on the backfilled side which will extend a few feet beyond the attached walls. Can I build wood walls for the other three sides (2X6 16" centers stagered between 2X8 top and bottom plates with glued and screwed plywood siding) daylight basement is 32 X 20 with 10 high walls.

Thanks

Its amazing how many people don't know that weed killing trick. The water destroys them and the salt poisons the ground where they grew out of preventing them from returning.
